Berdych, Garcia-Lopez advance to Shenzhen Open final
Tomas Berdych
Shenzhen - Arab Today
Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic overcame a second day of rain delays to down Spain's Tommy Robredo on Sunday in straight sets in the semi-finals of the Shenzhen Open.
Berdych, the top seed, defeated number three seed Robredo 6-1, 6-4 to advance to the final.
He will face Guillermo Garcia-Lopez, also of Spain, as the number four seed upset Marin Cilic of Croatia, seeded second and the winner of last year's US Open, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
The semi-final matches were scheduled to be played on Saturday but were delayed and finally postponed after persistent rain fell over the southern Chinese city.
Both matches Sunday also suffered delays after play began.
Berdych and Garcia-Lopez are scheduled to play for the championship on Monday.

Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
