Suspended FIFA president Sepp Blatter will hold a press conference Monday after world football's governing body announces its verdict on whether he is guilty of corruption, a spokesman said.
The 79-year-old Swiss official will speak at a Zurich restaurant at 1000 GMT, about the same time as the FIFA ethics commission verdict is due, his private spokesman Klaus Stoehlker announced in a statement.
Blatter appeared before FIFA's ethics court on Thursday to answer questions about a two million dollar payment made to his vice president Michel Platini in 2011 for which no contract was made.
Blatter called for the case to be dropped at the hearing saying there was nothing to support misconduct allegations, his lawyers said.
Blatter and Platini have both been suspended while a FIFA investigation into the payment, in parallel to a Swiss criminal inquiry, was carried out.
