Raffaele de Rosa will return to the World Superbike paddock at Monza this weekend after securing a wild-card outing with Team Lorini in the World Supersport category. The former Moto2 racer began the season competing for Pro Ride Honda, but opted out of the ride after just a single event, a move that has left him on the sidelines ever since. Nonetheless, the Italian will attempt to make an impression during a one-off outing at his home event of Monza aboard a Honda CBR600RR prepared by Team Lorini alongside its regular riders Andrea Antonelli and Roberto Tamburini. Additionally, Cristiano Erbacci, who raced at Imola, is back aboard a second Bike Service WTR Ten 10 Yamaha, while local riders Mirko Giansanti and Stefano Cruciani return for their annual wild-card outing aboard a pair of Puccetti Kawasaki ZX-6Rs. Along with Team Lorini, KUJA Racing will expand to three bikes this weekend with Roberto Anastasia and Giovanni Altomonte being named as its riders, the duo bringing the Monza entry list up to 36 riders.
