Horror crash victim John Degenkolb said that he hopes to race in this year's Tour de France as he continues his recovery from a January collision with a car. "The first big goal of the season, the Spring Classics, is forgotten, said Degenkolb, who won two of them last season, the Milan-San Remo and the Paris-Roubaix. "I'm focused on the second big goal, the Tour de France," he said. The German was one of six riders from the Giant-Alpecin team hit by a car in Spain in late January. The car was being driven by a British woman driving on the wrong side of the road.
