European Under 21 lots drawn tomorrow in Tel Aviv

Lots will be drawn tomorrow at the Tel Aviv Hilton to sort the seven qualifying teams plus the host country ahead of the European Under 21 championship, to be played in Israel June 5-18. Germany, Holland, Israel, Italy, Norway, Spain, and the UK will be sorted into two rounds of four games, tomorrow at 7pm local time. Spanish coach Julen Lopetegui will be on hand to give the trophy won in Denmark in 2011 to UEFA President Michel Platini, who will pass it on to Israeli football federation president, Avi Louzon. The championship will be played out in the four cities of Jerusalem, Netanya, Petach Tikva, and Tel Aviv. Netanya Mayor Miriam Feirberg on November 7 inaugurated the city\'s new stadium, which was built for the championship, and where Maccabi Netanya FC beat Hapoel Tel Aviv FC 2-1 before 14,000 spectators. The first stadium to be inaugurated ahead of the championship was HamoShava in Petach Tikva last year, while Jerusalem\'s Teddy Stadium is being expanded to 35,000 capacity. In Tel Aviv, the championship will be played in Bloomfield Stadium. The UEFA, which last summer rejected a Palestinian petition to ban the Israel championship, last week postponed a Europe League match between Hapoek Kiryat Shmona FC and Athletic Bilbao until Israel\'s eight-day military attack on the Gaza Strip ended in a truce. That match is to be played tomorrow night.
