Evergreen Thaworn has his eye on Tiger

Thaworn Wiratchant will turn his attention to golfing great Tiger Woods this week after putting himself in line to become Asia\'s oldest order of merit winner. The Thai evergreen, 45, takes on the 14-time major winner at the CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur after bounding to the top of the Asian money list with Sunday\'s play-off win against Richie Ramsay at the Hero Indian Open. \"I only aim to win when I play in any tournament. Every time I\'m in the field, my only goal is to win,\" said Thaworn, according to an Asian Tour press release. \"I have to admit that it is getting harder as I get older and the young players are so good now.\" Thaworn\'s 2012 earnings of US$547,031 have already surpassed his previous season\'s best of US$510,123 in 2005, the year he become Asia\'s number one. At the US$6.1 million CIMB Classic, he will face Woods and title-holder Bo Van Pelt in an event sanctioned by the Asian Tour and PGA Tour. \"It is nice to lead the order of merit and there are many big tournaments coming up,\" said Thaworn, the world number 84. \"I want to win it (order of merit) but it will depend on how I play in the next few events. I have a good chance of winning but I\'ll need to continue my form. I\'m looking forward to the end of the season.\"
