Director of Youth Affairs at the General Organization for Youth and Sports Iman Janahi said developing scientific talent among youngsters and meeting them in an ideal environment to promote their creations and encourage them to acquire required scientific skills, is among the objectives of 20th GCC Youngsters Scientific Forum in the United Arab Emirates. A total of 13 Bahrainis are taking part in the forum, to be staged between November 17 and 22. Janahi said that the participants will have responsibilities to represent their country properly, and to promote the Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Youth Creativity Award. In this regard, the Youth Affairs Directorate had a meeting to introduce parents of the participants on the forum and its role in the development of their sons, and their reflections on the society. Janahi reviewed different areas of the forum, which includes field trials in the areas of science, computer training, scientific projects workshops, in addition to the accompanying scientific activities. The forum is held every two years where it selects the participants at least two months before the start, and is hosted by one of the GCC countries. This forum targets certain age group categories from 11 to 15 years, where each GCC country should not introduce more than 10 participants and officials, reviewing the most scientific discoveries, and the latest modern technologies in this and deepen concepts through scientific experiments process. Spearheading the Kingdom of Bahrain are Ismail Assiri, Nusseibeh Al Sehroogi, Ibrahim Osama Obaid - Abdullah Ahmad Al Khayyat, Hamad Bassim Al Jalahma, Arif Al Mansuri, Faisal Ali Al Emadi, Talal Waleed Khaled, Kamal Ismail Mulla Mohammed and Shaima Walid Al Thawadi.
