India\'s Buddh International Circuit, which hosted its first F1 grand prix last season, is aiming to add both MotoGP and World Superbike to its event line-up for 2013. A report in India\'s The Economic Times says that March is a likely date for both events, with a round of the FIA GT1 sports car championship due to debut this December, but that planning was far from straight forward. \"We want to accommodate all of these races, but India has only five months of good weather [October-March] when they can be held,\" said Sameer Gaur, managing director and chief executive officer of Jaypee Sports International. The report also revealed the contrasting commercial arrangements for a circuit hosting F1, MotoGP, WSBK or GT1. \'Unlike the F1 race, where all rights except for tickets rested with F1 promoter Bernie Ecclestone, Jaypee Sports will hold TV, online and radio rights as well as on-track sponsorship rights for GT1 Championship,\' said the \'paper. \'In the case of Superbike World Championship, or SBK, Jaypee will have 70% share of the revenues, outside of tickets, with the rest going to race authorities FGSport. For MotoGP, though, Jaypee may get only 30% with the lion\'s share going to race promoters Dorna Sports.\' Guar added that negotiations over the commercial terms of the MotoGP deal were ongoing. If agreed, a March date would probably mean that India would take over the role of season-opener, currently held by Qatar. India is exactly the kind of emerging market that motorcycle manufacturers want to see added to the world championship calendars. The Buddh International Circuit cost over $400 million to build. \"It will still take 3-4 years to break even, but if we manage to bring in more events quickly, we might be able to do it faster,\" explained Gaur. The 2012 Indian F1 Grand Prix will be held at the end of October.
