- Antonio Conte, coach of Italian Serie A team Juventus, has been suspended for 10 months due to a match-fixing scandal. Conte was suspended by the Italian Football Federation for failing to report the fixing of two games while he coached Serie B team Siena. He could have been suspended for 15 months. The team said he would appeal the decision along with an eight-month suspension handed to assistant coach Angelo Alessio. Two players -- Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe -- were cleared of allegations of game-fixing while playing for Bari and Udinese, respectively. \"Juventus expresses great satisfaction for the absolution of its players Leonardo Bonucci and Simone Pepe and underlines its full support for Antonio Conte and Angelo Alessio, in the hope that the next level of the justice system can at last show they are completely innocent,\" the club said in a statement. Conte guided Juventus to a 23-0-15 and first-place finish in Serie A in 2011-12, his first season coaching the team. The 10-month suspension would mean he would miss the entire 2012-13 season.
