Vietnamese karate player Nguyen Hoang Ngan has been invited to compete at the 2013 World Games to be held in Colombia from July 25 to August 4, reported by Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA on Monday. Ngan won a spot at the Games following a successful year of competitions. She grasped a gold medal at an open tournament in Germany last September. The World Games, first held in 1981, are an international multi-sports event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, that are not contested in the Olympics. The Games, held every four years, are organized and governed by the International World Games Association, under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee. Ngan has won the world champion title twice in 2006 and 2008, and triumphed in many Asian tournaments and SEA Games. Source : XINHUA
