Kenya appoint Brown as temporary coach

Former Zimbabwean cricket coach Robin Brown has taken temporary charge of Kenya to prepare for this month’s ICC Intercontinental Cup and two one-day series in Namibia, officials said. Brown, who was appointed the country’s head of cricket development in May, fills the position left vacant after Mike Hesson quit to take up the post of the New Zealand coach. The Zimbabwean said it was unfortunate that security problems had deprived Kenya home advantage against Namibia, after the International Cricket council (ICC) relocated the matches to Windhoek, but he believes the team should still put their act together. “We have a very professional team of players.They just need to put their past problems behind them and we can start seeing the results. We can get back to the top if we can all get together,” said Brown.
