Khan returns against Alvarez in Vegas
Amir Khan ahead of his fight
London - Arab Today
Amir Khan will return after a year long absence against Mexico's Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in Las Vegas on May 7, the British boxer revealed on Tuesday.
"Delighted to announce i will be fighting @Canelo May 7th Cinco De Mayo, Las Vegas for the 155lbs @WBCBoxing title!" he posted on Twitter.
Alvarez (46-1-1) captured the vacant World Boxing Council middleweight title last November with a unanimous decision victory over Puerto Rico's Miguel Cotto.
Khan's last fight was in May 2015, a points welterweight victory over American Chris Algieri.
He said last month he had a "few options" for his next fight, but a catchweight contest at 155lbs with WBC middleweight champion Alvarez was not considered to be one of those possibilities.
Against Algieri in New York Khan improved to 31-3 with his fifth victory in a row.

Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
