Liverpool Ladies are confident of getting their first home win of the new WSL season this afternoon. Defender Sam Chappell says that the improvement in the teams\' recent performances, particularly against Chelsea last weekend, show that the team is ready to go on a winning run. Currently seventh in the league, Liverpool face a tough game against second place Lincoln, at home at Skelmersdale United. Liverpool secured their first point, away at league leaders Chelsea last Sunday. Sam said: \"We were much improved against Chelsea last weekend so we\'re going into the Lincoln game full of confidence. A win on Sunday will help us to build towards a good season and we want to push up the league playing quality, entertaining football. \"Some of our players are in line for Olympics selection for their national teams this summer as well, so it\'s crucial that we play well individually and personally over the next month or two. \"Lincoln will be a tough game but a good crowd always spurs us on, so we hope that lots of Liverpool fans come down to Skelmersdale on Sunday to give us some great support.\" Manager Robbie Johnson has also signed two new players, who are both making the step-up from the reserve team. Midfielder Amie Fleming and forward Sophie Jones have joined the senior squad and are in contention to make their home debuts on Sunday. Kick-off at Skelmersdale United today is at 2pm. Tickets are £4.50 for adults and entry is free for accompanied children.
