Australian club Perth Glory on Monday sacked coach Ian Ferguson after eight successive A-League games without a win, with former player Alistair Edwards taking over until the end of the season. "Chairman Tony Sage has confirmed Ian Ferguson will no longer be coach by mutual consent," the club said on its Twitter site. "Former Perth Glory players Alistair Edwards (coach) and Gareth Naven (assistant) will take the reins until the end of the season," it added. The Glory, who were recently linked with former England international Michael Owen, are bottom of the 10-team A-League with 19 points from 20 games. FIFA
