Paras XI won the Oman National Day cricket match beating Suntosh XI recently. Commemorating the 42nd National Day a cricket match was organised for boys under 14 years. Paras XI batted first and scored 156 runs for the loss of 7 wickets with useful contribution from captain Paras (38 n.o.), Tusheed (35), Varun (33 n.o.) and Dhanvi (15). Suntosh and Anurag bowled well and took 2 wickets each. Paras Team bowlers bowled very tightly and skittled out the opponents for mere 76 runs in 16.2 overs. Only Aman played solidly and scored 26 runs. Mohit made a modest contribution of 14 runs. Captain Paras took a five-wicket haul by conceding 19 runs while Tusheed took 2 wickets by giving away 12 runs. Shaurya accounted for 2 wickets by giving away 11 runs while Varun took 2 wickets for 16 runs. Paras was declared as the Man of the Match for his all round performance (taking 5 wickets for 19 runs and scored unbeaten 38 runs).
