Pin Pals excel in Etihad airways bowling league

Team Pin Pals grab the limelight in the 12th week of the Unified Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (UFTBR)-Etihad Airways Tuesday Bowling League at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC) with a lopsided 19-7 victory over Thrill Seekers. Three other teams scored identical 19 points but Pin Pals emerged as the Team of the Week by virtue of their higher total pinfalls. Leading the charge for Pin Pals was Andy Carasig with a series of 937 with contributions from Johnny De Asis (920), Shakur Kamlian (845), Rocky Manipon (837), Danny Trinidad (381), Frank Ranera (153) and Ely Baraquel (152). In other matches , Ayaw Na won over Dabarkads 16-9, Kamahalan topped Vinnell Arabia 19-12, Unica defeated Pin Hitters 19-11, Mandirigma outbowled the Lane Cruiser 17- 8, NBA pinned down Saco Bolts 19-7 and SABB Advanced took the wind out of Habagat 18-11. Andro Tismo of Unica bagged the Bowler of the Week award s in Group 1 with a series of 950 together Carasig in the Group 2 category. Meanwhile, Ronald Bautista maintained his lead in the MVP race in Group 1 with an average of 219.69 followed by Arnold Jesena (217.0) and Ernee Noto (212.05). In the Group 2 MVP race, Ryan Inigo still leads with an average of 190.27 followed by Shawn Rickett (188.24) and Fathi Abdulaziz (188.03) at third. Haj Goodwill Games UFTBR Chairman Noto is again inviting all bowlers to join the upcoming annual Haj Goodwill Games to be held Oct. 25 and 26 at UBC. The event will be a 4-player team competition.
