Plisson out for rest of season
France's fly half Jules Plisson
Paris - Arab Today
Stade Francais fly-half Jules Plisson will miss the rest of the season after dislocating his left shoulder in the Top-14 game against Toulouse on Friday.
"Thanks for your support! IRM this morning, verdict: operation Wednesday, end of season... bottom of the barrel," the France international tweeted on his account.
Plisson did not say exactly how long he would be sidelined, but the injury casts grave doubts on his fitness for the World Cup which takes place in England from September 18-October 31.
France coach Philippe Saint-Andre is due to announce an intitial World Cup training squad on May 19.
The 23-year-old Plisson, who played in France's last two Six Nations games against Italy and England, was forced to leave the field in the first half of the game against Toulouse when he was injured in a tackle from hooker Corey Flynn.
The Paris side went down 21-12 and the loss of Plission will be a big blow for their hopes of making it into the six-team Top-14 playoffs for the first time since 2009.

to 'eternal style' of late Alaia
Paris - Emiratesvoice
Two months after legendary designer Azzedine Alaia's sudden death plunged the fashion world into mourning, an exhibition in homage to the "King of Cling" opens Monday in his studios in Paris. The Tunisian-born designer, renowned for the way his clothes hugged the body, died suddenly in November aged 82, reportedly of heart failure after falling down the stairs at his home. The diminutive maverick, who ignored fashion week convention by showing when and where he wanted, in July produced his first couture collection in six years to rapturous reviews. Now some of his most iconic dresses are going on display in the glass-roofed gallery next to his studio and home in the Marais district where he used to show his creations. It includes the dress worn by supermodel Naomi Campbell, his longtime friend and muse, when she led
