Qatar’s Rashid Al-Mohannadi won the gold medal of Men’s 50m Rifle Prone Event at the 12th GCC Shooting Championship being held in Al-Ain, the United Arab Emirates. Al-Mohannadi also was a member of the Qatari team that claimed the silver medal of Men’s 50m Rifle Prone Team Event. The team included Rashid Al-Mohannadi, Saad Al-Qahtani and Abdullah Al-Maadhead. In Women’s Trap Event, Qatar’s Norah Al-Ali took the gold medal while the bronze medal went to her teammate Amna Al-Abdullah. Kuwait’s Sarah Al-Hawal settled in the second place.
