QPR have won the race to sign free agent Junior Hoilett after agreeing a four-year deal. Hoilett's contract at Blackburn had expired and the 22-year-old has chosen to continue his career at Loftus Road. "Junior's a player of top quality who can makes things happen, both on his own and as a team player," QPR manager Mark Hughes told the club's official website, www.qpr.co.uk. Hoilett fired seven goals in a struggling Blackburn team that was relegated from the Premier League last season. He is the seventh signing completed by QPR this summer, joining Rob Green, Ryan Nelsen, Fabio da Silva, Ji-Sung Park, Samba Diakite and Andy Johnson at Loftus Road. "Junior is a player I know very well. He was just a young boy trying to make his way in the game when I had him at Blackburn," Hughes said. "It was difficult for him then because of work permit issues, but I had him training with the first team very early on because his talent was there for all to see. "We knew then he was going to have a great future and he's showed that talent over the last few seasons at Ewood Park. He's a player that will enhance what we've got in the group and I'm delighted he's chosen to come to us." Hoilett believes QPR, who narrowly escaped relegation themselves last season, are a club heading in the right direction. "The manager and the owners have huge ambitions to achieve things here and this is the perfect place for me to further my career," he said. FIFA .
