Riyadh Cricket League announced the team to participate in M. Asghar Ali Shah Night Ramadan T20 cricket tournament in Karachi, Pakistan. The team was selected from the playing RCL teams under the supervision of RCL President Mamoor Elahi and support of RCL Executive Committee. The major sponsor for the tour is Power Zone Co. and co-sponsors are MBR, Al Eid, Amaq Contracting and Saeed Iqbal Est. The tournament started from first Ramadan and majority of the matches will be played under flood lights. Altogether 16 teams entered the tournament. Twelve are local teams from Pakistan and 4 teams will be coming from Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, UAE and Qatar. RCL team will be departing today from Riyadh to Pakistan . RCL SVP Jawaid Munawar introduced the committee that selected the team at a function and briefed the audience about the tournament. He thanked the support received from the sponsors especially Power Zone and its CEO Mamoor Elahi and wished the team success in the tournament. The teams are: Group A: Riyadh Cricket League KSA, A O Clinic Karachi, Brother CC Dadu, Kashmore CC; Group B: Punjab University Lahore, Dollar East UAE, Gilani Heroes Quetta, Afghanistan; Group C: Aga Nizam CC Quetta, Qasmi CC, Northern Gymkhana CC Karachi, Al Haj CC Peshawar; Group D: Wall Street CC Qatar, Omer Associates CC, Khyber Gymkhana FATA, Advance Telecom UAE. Senior Adviser Razaur Rahman congratulated the selected players, praised the efforts of committee members for finalyzing the trip and asked each player to show good discipline and attitude by becoming true ambassadors of RCL during the tour of Pakistan. Shamshad Siddiqui, honorary member of RCL, congratulated the committee and players for participating in the tournament in Pakistan. Elahi graced the occasion in which he announced the team and officials and stressed the need of discipline on and off the ground. He urged each playing member to raise the flag of RCL during the event.
