London - Arabstoday
Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marco Reus apologised to his team-mates after missing a chance in yesterday\'s goalless draw at Wolfsburg which could have taken his side up to second in the Bundesliga. Reus appeared to be caught in two minds whether to shoot or pass after being put through with only Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio to beat. He scuffed the ball wide between the goal and Hanke as Gladbach failed to find a breakthrough. Reus admitted he was taking responsibility for the failure to win. \"I didn\'t notice that Mike Hanke had run up with me - what I wanted to do is shoot into the far corner with the outside of my boot, but I didn\'t manage it,\" he said. \"That was a gilt-edged chance that I had to take, therefore I am very sorry for the team.\" Gladbach coach Lucien Favre said there was nothing to apologise for. \"I can live with it,\" he said. \"This 0-0 is definitely not a setback. I am pleased with the point. We can definitely play better and there was also a tight offside decision which went against us, but we have to live with that.\" Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath was also satisfied with the result, even if he felt there was more in it for his side. \"We probably would have deserved to win,\" he said. \"Nevertheless, I can live with the point. We were not up against any old side, they have the best defence in the league. In general, we are heading in the right direction.\"
