Forward Tyler Seguin, heading into his third NHL season, signed a six-year contract extension, worth nearly $35 million, with the Boston Bruins, the team said. Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced the deal Tuesday. Seguin, 20, was the second overall pick in the 2010 NHL draft and had scored 40 goals and has 49 assists in his first two seasons with Boston. He was selected to the NHL All-Star Game last year and helped the Bruins win the Stanley Cup in2011. His new deal is worth an average of $5.75 million a year and links him to the Bruins through the 2018-19 season.
