Sides set for Argentina-Czech Davis semi

Top 10 players Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic and Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina will lead their teams into the Davis Cup semifinal series. Del Potro\'s Argentine team is the host for the Sept. 14-16 best-of-five semifinal on a red clay court in Buenos Aires. Argentina will be looking to return to the Davis Cup finals for a fifth time. However, after Spain won the 2011 title, Argentina fell to 0-4 in the final series. The winner of the Czech-Argentine semifinals takes on either Spain or the United States in the 2012 finals, set for Nov. 16-19. Berdych, ranked No. 7, helped the Czechs past Italy and Serbia in the early rounds while Argentina beat Germany and Croatia to reach the semifinals. In addition to Berdych, Czech captain Jaroslav Navratil has nominated Radek Stepanek, Lukas Rosol and Ivo Minar for the matches in Argentina. The home side will counter with world No. 8 del Potro, Juan Monaco, Carlos Berlocq and Eduardo Schwank.
