The BMW 4 team of Nick Evangelopoulus, Harris Michaelides and Randeep Singh joined forces with German pro Marcel Siem to win the Pro-Am on Tuesday. The traditional curtain raiser for the DP World Tour Championship, the 44-team Pro-Am saw Siem and his amateur partners post a score of eighteen under par to win by two shots from the European Tour 1 team of Thomas Aiken. South Africa’s Aiken, partnered by Adel Zarouni, Maurizio Noce and Walid Al Attar, took the runners-up spot courtesy of a count back after both the European Tour 1 team and Jumeirah Golf Estates 1 carded rounds of sixteen under par. Led by former Open Champion Paul Lawrie, the JGE 1 team of James Ashbridge, Shankar Najrekar and Maurits Klavert had to settle for third also on -16. In his first appearance in the event as a professional, UAE’s Ahmed Al Musharrekh performed well finishing on -11 in 18th place. From Gulf Today
