Students representing secondary and preparatory schools from different areas across the country showed well-praised performance in the basketball event of the Schools Olympic Program under the theme “ Sports and Investment” held in Al-Gharaffa Indoor on Tuesday. At the secondary schools level, Egyptian school outclassed the Lebanese counterparts 27/24, Sudanese school defeated Jordanian school 14/7 in the second playoff, as Ibn Taimeah school overcome Bright Future 29/9 and Omer bin Khatab defeated Ideal Indian School. At the preparatory schools level, Salah El-Deen Al-Ayoubi thrashed Mohammed bin Jassim 9-2, Egyptian Language defeated Al-Noor Private 24/6 and Luis Bonaparte overcome Sudanese school 24/6, and Abdulrahman bin Jassim School defeated Ali bin Abi Taleb 14/4. Some 157 students from 36 schools participated in the Table-Tennis competitions of the Schools Olympic Program under the theme “ Sports and Investment” on Tuesday. In Tuesday’s table-tennis competitions , Birla Public School and Indian Islamic School cruised their way to the final round of the event to be held in April, as Duhail school will shake hands with Egyptian language school in the clash for the third and fourth places. Teams representing different secondary schools displayed commendable skills in the volleyball event of the Schools Olympic Program held on Tuesday. Naser bin Hamab Al-Attiyiah schools sparkled to defeat Iranian school 2-0, Omar bin Khattab outclassed Birla Public 2-0 and Al-Andalus school beat Commercial school 2-0. Likewise a number of preparatory schools from all Qatari areas are due to compete in in the volleyball competitions on Wednesday. The second stage of the handball competitions for primary schools at the prestigious schools Olympic Program was successfully concluded on Tuesday. In Tuesday fixtures, Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud defeated Al-Manar 5-1, Ummsaieed thrashed London 10-0, Umm Slal overcome Al-Kon Academy 10-0 and Sudanese school outclassed Rowdat Rashid 10-0.
