Chicago Cubs manager Dale Sveum said he was accidentally shot in the right ear while quail-hunting with Hall of Famer and hunting partner Robin Yount recently. Sveum, 49, asked the media not to overplay the incident, saying, \"It\'s not that big a deal,\" but recounted Yount lost track of his location and shot at a bird behind Sveum, from a distance of about 50 yards, the Chicago Tribune said. The ammunition involved in the hunt was small ball bearings, known as BBs or pellets. \"So I got drilled with pellets in the back, and one stuck in my ear,\" Sveum said, admitting it was \"bloody\" but he was not concerned. \"We do it all the time. Not that close all the time, but we do get BBs falling on us.\"
