Ticket sales of FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013 to start

Friday 30 November 2012 will be another milestone of FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013, with the start of ticket sales for the tournament. The ticket launch of FIFA U20 World Cup Turkey 2013 will take place at the Turkish Radio Television (TRT) Studios in ?stanbul with on the TV Programme ‘‘ Futbol Gecesi ’’ (“The Football Night”). The programme will be broadcast live at 9.45 pm, following the conclusion of the League match between Galatasaray and Gaziantepspor, ironically two of the clubs who will host matches at the competition next summer. TFF President Y?ld?r?m Demirören, TFF Vice-President Servet Yard?mc?, FIFA U-20 World Cup Event Manager Inaki Alvarez and Turkey U-20 National Team Head Coach Feyyaz Uçar will be the guests of the TV Show, with a special guest also set to appear. The total ticket inventory for the competition is over 840,000, with the Istanbul Arena the largest of the seven stadia to be used, with a capacity of 51,612. The Local Organising Committee and FIFA have worked closely together to creative an attractive ticketing programme which in particular will make tickets affordable for families. Visa ticket holders will be eligible for discounted tickets for a limited period after Friday’s launch, with other discounts set to be announced both for the public, and group purchases. TRT presenter Levent Ozcelik will be presented with a giant ticket on Friday night, with Turkish fans being challenged to beat the record set by Colombia in 2011, when over 715,000 tickets were sold for the FIFA U20 World Cup, raising more than $11million, with an average attendance of more than 25,000 per game. The FIFA U-20 World Cup Turkey 2013 competition kicks-off on 21 June 2013 with matches in Istanbul and Kayseri. Kayseri will host the official opening ceremony. Antalya, Bursa, Gaziantep, Rize and Trabzon are the other host cities. Turkey has already been allotted slot C1, meaning they will play their three group games in the Black Sea coastal venues of Trabzon and Rize. Bursa and Trabzon will host the semi-finals, with Istanbul hosting the final match on Saturday 13 July.
