
A total of 139 original works created by Auguste Rodin, the 19th century French sculptor, will be on display from Friday, according to an announcement by the National Museum of China.
The sculptures include "The Thinker", "The Age of Bronze", "Monument of Balzac" and "The Gates of Hell".
Moreover, many sketches for his gypsum sculptures will also be on display, offering viewers an insight into the artist's creative process .
The exhibition will run until March 22, 2015.
The exhibition is co-hosted by the National Museum and the Paris Rodin Museum and follows a similar exhibition of French painted masterpieces to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic ties, which closed in June.
