
A festival of \'world renowned Pakistani mangoes\', The King of Fruit Festival, as part ofPakistan Culture Year in Turkey, was celebrated in the Turkish capital, Ankara on Saturday. The Festival was organized by the Pakistan Embassy for which famous varieties of mangoes were flown in from Pakistan. Pakistan\'s Ambassador to Turkey Muhammad Haroon Shaukat said they wanted to introduce Pakistani mangoes to Turkey and within the framework of a bilateral trade agreement between the two countries,Pakistan would start exporting mangoes to Turkey in 2014. Pakistan produces 1.75 million tons of mangoes annually and ranks the fifth among the countries exporting mango. There are over 100 various types of mangoes in Pakistan. Alongside Pakistani Ambassador Shaukat, officials from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, officials of the Pakistani Embassy in Ankara, press organs and many other guests attended the reception.
