New novel portrays romance born

Author Wilbert E. Dela Cruz explores the innermost depths of the human heart with his tale of romance, conducting a symphony of passion and emotion aptly titled “The Sum of a Thousand Dreams” (published by Xlibris). His story depicts the poetry of life, the facets of the human spirit, and how it changes as the journey of existence goes on, as friendships and relationships evolve over time.
It’s a coming of age story following a child growing up and struggling to cope with a broken heart while discovering bits of its pieces in the people he intentionally or unintentionally surrounds himself with. With this narrative, Dela Cruz portrays the process of understanding dreams and those who dare to dream, and how significant they can be in the whole scheme of life itself. He examines the boundaries of the human spirit, the pains, tears and heartaches, the search for closure, and the difficulty of letting go. Most of all, the author says, “it’s also about how we can stand back up and how we can rise stronger beyond the clouds.”
