
The Kuwait National Commission for UNESCO held a forum entitled "Books and Peace" on Wednesday to mark the World Book and Copyright Day. The forum dealt with the intellectual property rights of authors and the legal channels to pursue in order to preserve these rights in Kuwait. Participating in the forum were secretary general of the Kuwait Writers' Association Talal Al-Rumaidhi and the Secretary General of the Kuwait National Commission for UNESCO Abdullatif Al-Buaijan, who reviewed the history of publishing books in Kuwait and gave an overview of the most important Kuwaiti writers who contributed to the cultural scene in the country over the past few decades
