Minister: Siemens in process of bidding for Alstom assets

German engineering group Siemens has drawn up a bid for assets of French group Alstom and is in the process of putting the offer forward formally, France's Economy Minister Arnaud Montebourg told parliament on Tuesday. "An offer by German company Siemens is being presented," he told the National Assembly of lawmakers, and also reproached the head of Alstom for not informing the government of takeover talks with US group General Electric.
