Netherlands confirms Dutch hostages freed in Nigeria

Niger Delta gunmen have released three Dutch nationals who were abducted last week, the Dutch foreign ministry confirmed on Sunday. "I can confirm they have been freed," said ministry spokesman Johanne Doornewaard, adding that the Dutch ambassador to Nigeria was heading to the Delta region, where the abduction had taken place.
