The Red Sea ports witnessed the arrival and departure of one million people and another one million cargo ships in 2014, Head of the Red Sea Ports Authority Hisham Abo Senna said on Sunday.
"After its development, the Sharm El Sheikh airport will accommodate 100,000 passengers a year," he said during a symposium that was held at the authority's headquarters.
The Suez governor attended the symposium as well.
Abo Senna added that the Adabiya port was prepared to receive the coal-carrying ships.
