
Nearly 93.73 percent of dredging works have been finalized in the New Suez Canal project, said a report issued by the executive authority of the Suez Canal Project.
Up to 244.409 million cubic meters of water-saturated sand have been dredged so far as part of the Suez Canal Development Project, the report said.
A total 258 million cubic meters should be dredged as part of the project, the report added.
Thirty-four degraders are currently working in Egypt’s giant
project.
In the meantime, Ismailia governor continued field tours in the new project to follow up preparation for the inauguration of the new canal, slated for August 6.
