Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development announced that its Commercial Licensing Service Center business, based in Abu Dhabi Municipality, has been relocated to its new main building in Banyans Towers. The move effective from today is in preparation for the launching of the "Abu Dhabi Business Center" at the beginning of next month. Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, Acting Executive Director of the Commercial Affairs Sector, said that this step comes within the efforts of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development to facilitate all transactions of business licensing service for clients and strategic partners, in order to best serve all business, commercial, professional and service activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. He explained that work is underway to develop the new clients' service center, in order to launch the new Abu Dhabi Business Center, which aims to create a sophisticated business environment and contribute to strengthening business and trade sectors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The clients' service center will enable private sector establishments to complete licensing procedures in an easy way to meet expectations. The clients service center in its new structure constitutes the central core of Abu Dhabi Business Center, and will render many services to businessmen, within a package of initiatives that had recently been launched, to meet business requirements, including eServices linkages with a number of federal and local government, to facilitate electronic processing of licensing procedures and issuance, within the e-archiving project; along with a number of electronic initiatives in cooperation and coordination with strategic partners of the Department, in order to save clients time and effort. Al Mansouri said that the main objective of the Abu Dhabi Business Center is to simplify procedures to enhance the competitiveness of the emirate in the ease of doing business, in international competitiveness reports. The Department of Economic Development, by launching the Business Center, intends to enhance the overall performance of commercial and economic activities in the emirate, through the provision of all requirements of citizens and foreign businessmen and investors, as the Center will be entity that provides all data and information on business activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and will thus play a key strategic role in the enhancement and development of the business environment in the emirate. Al Mansouri expressed his thanks and gratitude to the management of Abu Dhabi Municipality for hosting the commercial service center of the Commercial Affairs Sector in the past years, which significantly aided the performance of the Department of Economic Development, and its responsibilities towards maintain the favorable business environment in the city of Abu Dhabi.
