Daqahliya's Abu Madi gas field produces 10 million cubic meters of natural gas daily, Governor Hussam el Din Imam said on Monday.
During his inspection tour at Nile Delta and Abu Madi gas fields, the governor said the production would increase in the coming two months.
The two fields also produce 4,600 cubic meters of aircraft fuel and 2,400 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) daily, he added.
Abu Madi gas field is one of the oldest fields in Egypt, the governor pointed out, adding that production there had started in 1974.
