The Agriculture Ministry said the Principal Bank for Development and Agricultural Credit (PBDAC) and the Supply Ministry have received, so far, around 4.625 million tons of wheat from farmers in all governorates, according to an official report by the Agriculture Ministry.
The wheat supply operation would continue, the report said on Thursday.
The three-month wheat harvest began mid-April.
The government expected four million tons of wheat to be supplied by farmers by the end of the set time.
