
African governments have to realize the challenges besetting the aviation sector, topped by a dlrs 1 billion-cost of securing airports, the Egyptian civil aviation minister said.
Addressing the 25th Plenary session of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) on Tuesday, Hossam Kamal said all world airports are unified concerning the 1 billion dollar budget for safeguarding airports.
He said aviation security became an exigency in view of spiralling terror across the world.
Meanwhile, he noted that the ministry offers 20 scholarships at the Egyptian Aviation Academy. AFCAC nominates candidates for the scholarships.
