Al Adil Trading Co, UAE's leading name for Indian food stuff, is all set to invest and expand its geographical footprints by opening around 10 stores till next year. In keeping with this policy Al Adil Trading inaugurated their 37th outlet in Al Qusais recently.

Bollywood's leading heart throb, the stunning Dia Mirza inaugurated the outlet.

"We are re-strategising our plans and we are committed to invest in growth capital including pursuing both organic as well as inorganic opportunities in the next couple of years. The scope for organised retail penetration is growing and we are well positioned to capture this growth. We are also looking to augment our reach with substantial investment in digital foray," said Dr Dhananjay (Jay) Datar, chairman and managing director, Al Adil Trading.

It was a personal lifestyle change that saw him shed weight and get fitter which put Dr Dhananjay (Jay) Datar, chairman and managing director, Al Adil Trading, on a quest for healthier products for his customers. This culminated in a wide range of high quality Indian organic food products reaching the shelves of his iconic Al Adil supermarket in 2012 and since then the range has grown.

Customers can choose their grains and even get it milled into flour at the premises.

"Organic foods are produced using methods that do not involve modern synthetic inputs such as synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilisers. Organic foods are also not processed using irradiation, industrial solvents, or chemical food additives. One important thing is unlike other organic products in the market, our offerings are highly cost effective and affordable to our valued customers," said Dr Datar.

He added: "It is true that I discovered the value of organic foods when I was making a conscious effort to adopt a healthy lifestyle and it made such a difference that I wanted to make it available to my customers as well. Since Al Adil has a big network in the GCC with 37 of supermarkets and the advantage of booking volumes with 11,000 from all over India, we have been able to encourage customers towards this healthy lifestyle by making organic foods affordable to all."

In the five years since Al Adil launched its organic foods range, demand has grown.

"We have laid down very stringent quality norms and there is no compromise towards that. Our stringent quality control measure has helped us to win numerous awards and recognition from nationally and internationally acclaimed bodies," Dr Datar said. "We have worked out this aspect and we are now able to offer a wide range of organic products that includes authentic masalas, spices, pulses, wheat, atta, rice and Indian foodstuff items without burning a hole in the consumers' pockets. With this initiative we try to reach out and provide assistance in a manner that we can. We do not do this to enhance our business. We do it because we feel it is our responsibility,"

The Al Adil Supermarket and Flour Mills is a very special store for lovers of Indian foods and products. Whether you are looking for little-known spice mixes like the Bengali Panch Poren or the spicy and pungent Rajwadi Masala and also 11,000 products from all over India whether you want pickles or breakfast powders to whip up classic dosa and idli, all are available here. The store even conducts Wheat Festivals in which customers can select whole wheat berries and get it milled into fine flour, keeping the goodness of the grain unadulterated.

It is worthy to note that Dr Datar is instrumental in bringing 3,000 new more Indian products to the GCC region.

"Our plan of offering organic products is a growing a testimony to the faith that our customers have in our products
