The Ministry of Transport and Communications will organise an introductory meeting tomorrow to create awareness on its current and future projects in the North and South Al Batinah governorates. The meeting will be held at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Sohar in the presence of Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Futaisi, minister of transport and communications. It will also be attended by the undersecretaries, chief executive of Public Authority of Civil Aviation, and other ministry officials. It will address many topics of interest which includes the Al Batinah motorway project, currently constructed by the Ministry of Transport and Communications, which is one of the most vital and strategic roads in the Sultanate of Oman and serves many aspects of development and provision of infrastructure for new trade and economic activities. It also addresses the linking roads projects between the Al Batinah expressway and the existing Al Batinah road, as well as upgrading intersections of the Al Batinah motorway and the project of transferring works of Sultan Qaboos Port to the Sohar Port, Shinas port development project, Sohar airport project, train project and other projects implemented by the Transport and Communications Ministry in the North and South Al Batinah governorates.
