Bahrain takes part in GCC meeting on housing

Minister of Housing Bassim bin Yaqoob Al-Hamar led the kingdom's delegation to the 13th GCC Housing Ministers' Meeting, held recently in the State Kuwait.
The Minister asserted the importance of such GCC meeting in unifying housing principles among GCC states, noting that the recent meetings of GCC Housing Ministers allocated special interest to studying the draft Arab Strategy for Housing and Urban Development.
The meeting focused on the Bahrain-based office of the online GCC Housing Database and the parallel site at the GCC Secretariat, and commended the efforts of the technical teams in providing 100% of the housing data in the GCC.
The meeting also confirmed the field visits to housing projects in Bahrain in the first quarter of 2015.
GCC Housing Ministers also discussed the statute and terms of the first edition of the GCC Hosing Award.
