
Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer reiterated the ministry's keenness to provide affordable social housing to each and every citizen.
The Minister highlighted the ministry's plan to achieve this goal.
He affirmed the need to proceed with maximum energy to activate the construction work in new cities of Bahrain projects which will provide 30,000 units in addition to allocation of huge budgets to acquire more lands suitable to construct residential units.
He said the ministry focuses on the need to move from the stage of construction of hundreds to thousands of residential units.
Al Hamer hailed the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa regarding construction of 40,000 residential units which defines the roadmap to provide residential units to meet future needs.
He also highlighted the ministry's policy aimed to solve the housing dossier and to satisfy all housing demand of waiting lists giving considerable priority to expedite the serving of old applications.
