
Egypt’s budget deficit decreased in the period between July and September to hit EGP 76.8 billion, according to a bulletin of the Finance Ministry.
The drop represents 2.4 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), according to the report.
The state revenues decreased to reach EGP 96.8 billion compared to EGP 100 billion during the same period of the previous year, the statement added.
Total expenses rose to EGP 172.2 billion compared to EGP 170 billion in the same period of the previous year,it said.
