Cabinet approves increase of seaport fees

The Cabinet approved on Wednesday a draft presidential decree on modifying law no. 24/1983 on the fees of seaport operations and services.
According to the modification, the minister of transport, in coordination with the minister of finance and Suez Canal Authority, may double current fees on seaport operations and services five times.
The minister may also set fees for e-services at seaports.
The modification came following launching a number of e-services, as law no. 24/1983 did not include any article on e-services.
