Crown Prince: The development of our economies will be underpinned and led by the economic visions of both Kingdoms
Riyadh - ArabToday

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, today arrived in Riyadh, on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the visit, His Royal Highness will hold wide-ranging discussions with the Saudi leadership regarding the strong bilateral relationship the two Kingdoms share, and various ways to further build on their longstanding ties. Additionally, His Royal Highness and the Saudi leadership will discuss various regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
Upon arrival at King Saud Palace, His Royal Highness was received by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Naif Al Saud, the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior.
Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa,The Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa and number of senior officials accompany His Royal Highness on his official visit.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister then made the following statement:
I am once again delighted to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which holds a very dear place in our hearts. The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to enjoy Saudi Arabia’s full support and solidarity, which underscores the historic ties that were established by our forefathers. In a similar manner, Saudi Arabia continues to play a leading role in supporting the causes of the wider Arab and Islamic World.
This visit takes place at a time when we look to further build on what we have achieved across various areas of bilateral cooperation, and which have contributed to delivering prosperity for both countries and our peoples.
I am very pleased to continue working with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Nayef Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
We are entering into another important phase of Bahraini-Saudi cooperation, following the directions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin AbdulAziz Al Saud, to further integrate cooperation.
The effective development of our economies will be underpinned and led by the economic visions of both Kingdoms. The visions have delivered greater momentum and confidence in programmes that seek to increase economic growth, diversification and sustainability.
The substantial reforms undertaken by Bahrain and Saudi Arabia place an emphasis on the role of sustainable development within the economy, diversification of revenues, and the development of legislation and regulations that stimulate private sector investment. We share this common vision, and we are deeply committed to increasing cooperation across all areas. We also look forward to launching new joint projects and initiatives aimed at achieving greater integration within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) across all sectors, to the benefit of the region as a whole.
On this occasion, I would also like to pay tribute to the significant role played by Saudi Arabia in supporting the work of the GCC and its central role in fighting terrorism. Additionally, I pay tribute to Saudi Arabia’s role in supporting GCC and Arab security cooperation in the face of extremist ideologies, through its leadership of the Arab Coalition.
This visit will undoubtedly contribute to closer ties and help to strengthen areas of cooperation that are based on our well-established relationships. I pray to the Almighty to bestow the two Kingdoms and their brotherly peoples with the blessings of enduring security and prosperity.
