Damietta port received on Wednesday eight ships including two container ships and six vessels loaded with general goods, Spokesman for Damietta port authority Mamdouh el Shieti said.
In a statement, Shieti said that nine ships left the port.
There are 22 vessels outside the port waiting to finalize their entry documents, he added.
