Deputy Chairman of Damietta Port Authority for Planning and Investment Mohamed el Sadat said the revenues of the authority witnessed this year a 125-million-pound increase compared to last year.
The revenues increased by 7 percent during the phase between 30 April to July, 1 in 2014.
In statements on Monday, el Sadat attributed the increase to upping the fees taken from ships that dock at the port and the operation of two new quays of 420-meter long.
The two quays' revenues are expected to bring in 30 million pounds in revenues annually.
