Egypt approves settlement in illicit gain cases

The Egyptian cabinet on Wednesday approved amendments allowing settlement in illicit gain cases under condition that the defendants return the illegally earned money to the state.
During a meeting under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab, the cabinet approved a bill amending some provisions of illicit gain law no 62 of the year 1975.
The amendments allowed the concerned bodies to ask prosecution to ban illicit gain defendants from leaving the country.
