Egypt and Iraq have agreed on boosting cooperation in the oil and gas sectors, CEO of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) said Friday.
Mohamed el Masri’s remarks came after he wrapped up his visit to Iraq, during which he met with Iraqi officials on enhancing bilateral ties in the field of oil and gas industries, exports, storage, and refining.
Speaking to MENA correspondent in Iraq, el Masri said Egyptian oil and gas companies are willing to work in Iraq in a way that serves interests of the two countries.
He added that cooperation will be carried out through ENPPI and Petrojet companies, which are already operating in Iraq.
The discussions also tackled horizons of cooperation in line with Egypt's technical capabilities in the fields of drilling, extending pipelines, and training.
